Sidely, the CRM that puts the geographical approach at the heart of sales development, has announced a €1 million round of financing from Business Angels and BPI, to modernize the CRM Terrain market, continue product development and strengthen its team.

Sidely responds to field sales teams' lack of equipment

Sidely - which means alongside in French - was launched in October 2021 to support brands and their sales people in the field.

The solution was developed on the basis of a clear observation: despite a fast-growing market, the CRM equipment rate of companies with a geographical approach to their sales development remains below that of other sectors. More than 2/3 of them do not use a CRM solution. **There are several reasons for this.

  • CRM solutions are too complex to implement: 50% of CRM projects fail, according to Forrester Research.
  • CRMs are too complex to use: less than 40% of CRM customers have an end-user adoption rate above 90%, according to CSO Insights. What's more, commercial CRMs are not geographically adapted.
  • CRM solutions are out of reach for small and medium-sized businesses, because the cost of implementation and use is too high.

Sidely has been conceived and designed for the specific needs of sales professionals, to ensure maximum adoption. The solution is easy to use and set up, accessible to small and medium-sized businesses, and meets mobility constraints, with a web platform and iOS and Android mobile applications that work with or without an internet connection.

"Despite the strong digitalization of the business world, field sales solutions have evolved very little over the past 20 years. The incumbent players offer solutions that are costly and complex, both to implement and to upgrade," explains Arthur D'Achon, CEO of Sidely.

Fundraising to create the European leader in field CRMs

Sidely has raised funds from business angels with expertise in tech and retail, including Eugen Gossen, co-founder of Stello, Philippe Reboul, former national sales director of Coca-Cola, Thibaud Hug de Larauze, CEO and co-founder of Back Market, and Julien Stern, co-founder of Universign, to become a major European player in field CRM solutions.

" We've dedicated all our energy to democratizing access to field CRM by offering modern, accessible SaaS software designed to facilitate the daily life of sales professionals. This fundraising will enable us to continue investing in R&D to bring even more intelligence to our tool. " Arthur d'Achon, CEO of Sidely.

Sidely is revolutionizing the market and the use of field CRM by offering a simple, intuitive, mobile solution at an affordable cost, with no implementation fees. Growing rapidly since its commercial launch two years ago, this funding will enable the company to accelerate its development.

Fundraising to develop an innovative product that meets market needs

Sidely was founded by Arthur d'Achon, Alexis Lecomte and Adrien Jonquet.

The product has been co-constructed with dynamic, innovative companies looking for modernity in their business development, to ensure that Sidely matches market needs.

" We conducted hundreds of interviews with our future users and experts in the field. Sidely has been and continues to be shaped by the concrete needs of sales managers and field sales people. "explains Alexis Lecomte, Sidely's CRO.

The SaaS solution has always aimed to meet the needs of salespeople in the field, by offering a mobile, accessible and simple solution. Since its launch in October 2021, Sidely has already convinced over a hundred brands, including Grain de Sail, C'est qui le patron?! and Club Maté.

" The modern technologies we use enable us to offer a scalable solution, specifically adapted to the requirements of companies in the market. Sidely can be parameterized directly by our customers, with no need for technical skills, thanks to our no-code approach. " Adrien Jonquet, CTO of Sidely.

With this fund-raising, Sidely aims to accelerate the development of its ambitious R&D department, offering regular product innovations and improvements, notably in the areas of greater personalization, more relevant and easier-to-analyze information gathering, more native integration with salespeople's day-to-day tools, and more intelligence, making Sidely a genuine decision-making tool.
